Athame by ManitouWolf Athame by ManitouWolf
A photo of my athame's blade.

Please note: I did NOT made this athame.
It was made by a man called "TenElks" on eBay, whom I highly recommend. :)

Great example of knapped obsidian, I might have to check out TenElks' work. Thanks for sharing!

Interesting! What sort of weapon/tool is the athame? A spear (my best guess)? That stone is gorgeous and it looks so well-made... *sudden want*

It's a knife.
Mine has a mule deer antler handle. Maybe I should take a photo of the entire item to give you a better idea?

:D Maybe. Or maybe I'm a poor judge of size. *small kangaroo rat points EMPHATICALLY at the latter*

*chuckles* Well, with the way some photos can be set up, it's very difficult to realize their true size.
The blade is roughly 4 inches long and not quite 2 inches broad at it's broadest spot.
